I would like to see Foligno on the wing and Larsen as the third line center. Brian Flynn may be a nice guy but if he is on this team he is your fourth line center and pk specialist.

Gergensons is a 3rd line center. He should be in the middle between Foligno and Stewart.

don't have a problem with that, although I think Flynn's more that just a nice guy, very heady player who plays an quiet, unheralded game

I think they want Grigo to prove that he can play top line minutes with Armia. Just my thought. They want him to earn it and I do not see him overtaking Ennis or Girgensons as a 1/2C right now. I think he is one of the first call ups though if Larsson is up.

Agreed, his career has been such a cluster frank already imo it's better to send to to the farm and give him consistency in his Life/Line placement/Play. Also his only focus will be to move up to the show, might be a little better on his mindset

Depending on what the Sabres do in the next draft, there probably is no place for him down the middle. It would make sense to me to use this year to teach him wing in Rochester. I guess its a gamble because its possible they dont get one of the top two picks, but either way the Sabres dont really need 3 2nd line centers (Ennis/Reinhart/Grigs). In a few years Gergensons is going to be one of the best 3rd line centers and Reinhart one of the top 2nd line centers and Ennis a solid 2nd line winger who can play on the top line if they need him to.

Thanks for sharing. Good piece, and the epic trolling by RedWingsJoe in the comments section is glorious:

"The PC police will never stop until fighting is gone from the game, even though the ones who don't like fighting never watch hockey to begin with. It's a man's sport, men fight and always have ever since the beginning of time. I think its time the women and social justice warriors back away from the sport, go watch basketball or soccer if you don't like to see fighting. And if more people actually wanted to watch hockey without fighting then we would see women's hockey on national platforms year round with mega giant sponsors... real fans want to watch the greatest athletes compete in a sport, not the 4th and 5th best meander around the arena pretending to be competitive. Let us men decide what we want, you women can go back to the kitchen and fix us a sandwich for the intermission, no pickles sweetheart."

First of all, pickles are delicious. But, if you don't like them, that's fine. More for me.

Next, RedWingsJoe needs a serious foot up his ass. That entire comment is absolutely ludicrous.

Yeah. Probability states they will, but thats no guarantee. Unless they trade Stafford and Stewart and Hodgson in the week or so they have a solid 2a/2b lines. Thats not to say they will be 'good', but Calgary, Carolina, Ottawa, and Nashville aren't going to be good and who knows where Florida and Edmonton are going to be. They could bounce back or sink again. Point is there is no guarantee where the Sabres or Islanders will finish or who will win the lottery.

Edit: Anyone else going to the game tonight?
